After 5 years of working dispatch, I thought I had heard
it all....
A few days ago, I took a call of a guy who tried to take
out his own pancreas. He was seeking narcotics and thought
it would be a great way to be taken to the hospital and
given meds. And I thought I'd heard it all. BUT NO!
Just now (Sunday morning) I took a call from a 19 year
old guy who wasfighting with his drunken 50 year old
guy 'friend' at a local motel. To get more information
for officers when they arrive, I asked what the male
suspect was wearing. "A blue halter top and blue jeans."
Thinking that was strange, and a strange situation to boot,
I thought it would be a good idea to get a description of
my 19 year old caller. White Male, 6'3" wearing a black
halter top and a black velvet skirt.
At the end of the call, I said that officers were on their
way to help and my caller said "Thanks, sweetiepie.
Buh-bye now."
An after thought-
I think we should start to keep the "air-sick" baggies they
keep on airplanes in dispatch for the same reason - I'm
getting motion sick. Or something....
PS - Thanks to Google Images for giving my REAL stories
similar pictures!

We need dates.
ReplyDeleteI think that was at least 3 years ago but I can't really remember - it was at least two because it was before sydney was born! and that... is why I hate motels!
