Last Saturday, Ady started coughing and saying "My ssss-roat, Mama!" It was sad and pitiful and cute at the same time. Sunday, we stayed home from church nursing the fever of 102. Monday, I took Ady to the doctor- with no stuffy nose we were worried it was strep. Doctor said it wasn't strep, but her airway was constricted due to croup. So, of course then Chloe would be getting sick soon too.
The snotty noses came right after the "not-strep" diagnosis, so we've been blowing and blowing and blowing noses. There's slimy little streak marks on our shirts or pants at any given moment from when noses need to be blown, but Ryan and I weren't paying close enough attention. Ahh, the life of a parent.
With both kids coughing and snotting everywhere - and not 100% on covering their mouths - Ryan and I have both caught sneezes in the face, etc. YUM!
Long story short - we are all sick now. I'm at work with my Halls Lozenges and DayQuil LiquiCaps. (Mandatory assigned overtime due to the Ironman race being in town.) Ryan is at home with two sick kids and being sick himself.
So, were just gonna suffer through. I hope it doesn't last too long.
That's terrible! Sorry you are ALL sick - that's the worst! Get better fast!
