Gardening requires lots of water - most of it in the form of perspiration.

I've been slacking.
It's been great weather, but I haven't been out much to garden. We've got this huge big backyard and an awesome front yard and I've only planted some flowers in the lawn island rock bed and two tomato plants in the backyard. Oh, and some squash.
I did a little peach tree pruning and thinning of the fruit, but FIVE peach trees need some more work. There's a sad little cherry tree that needs some lovin, and there's a spot for one more fruit tree - so many possibilities!!! I also pruned the grapevines in the backyard a little. We'll have fruit coming from everywhere in the next few months.
I need to get my booty in GEAR! If I could just quit work and be out in the garden all day, I would. I have so many ideas for this property!! But it also takes some money.
I'd love to:

- Rake up all the front yard rocks and lay weed fabric(Ora, you're right, all the rocks are driving me BONKERS!)
- Re-seed the lawns, and patch some dead spots
- Tidy up the rose bush planter box
- Trouble-shoot the sprinklers in the garden areas of the backyard
- Till up some areas of the back yard to prep for gardening
- Plant some more tomatoes, corn, squash, peppers, strawberries, sunflowers, portulaca (aka - moss rose)
The list goes on AND ON..... I'd love to try watermelon again. My last attempt yielded small softball sized watermelons with dried out insides.
What would you plant??
Oh Rachie! I wish I lived closer to you, I would totally come and spend the day with you and help out in your yard! We should plan a 'playdate' and have all the kids get together and play and we adults can play outside.. haha!! If you need someone to take some peaches off your hands.. I can.. and I will make you some yummy Peach Jam.. let me know!!
