Fast Forward to Early Summer of 2006: Ryan and I had kept in touch through email for years. So it was no surprise that I got an email from him in June or July asking what I was doing in October of that year.

The Dinosaur Museum came up. Nah, they already went there once. Okaaay. What about going for a hike in a cave with hieroglyphics? Nope, hiking sucks. Hmm. Well, I guess I'll have to think about what we can do then.
Well, we kept exchanging emails back and forth and getting reacquainted with each other. Ryan seemed like a really nice guy. I haven't met many nice *single* guys like that - ever. We got to know each other as the adults we had grown into. It was really weird, and kinda refreshing. We started texting each other almost constantly and chatting on the internet anytime we were near a computer. Ryan was a really nice guy, like a guy that I would be interested in dating. Hmm.

I decided to send a flirty email and see what happened. I wrote: "So, when are we gonna make out - I mean HANG out?" I don't remember his reply, but it was enough to make me take a few days off the next weekend and come up to visit and "meet" him again.
So, I went up for a visit in August. We went to dinner and talked and got reacquainted face to face. He said, "Can I kiss you?" That just melted me! I leaned in..... AH! He softly said, "I've been waiting 8 years to do that."
And that's when I fell in love with Ryan.
Tune in tomorrow for another installment of "Our Story."
