Who knows what that means, except - WE ARE BACK!
So, we did make it back from our SLC trip. The girls had an interesting Halloween. We got them dressed up and went to a few neighbors houses. Ady the ladybug was so shy and kept turning her face into my shoulder and didn't want to be put down. Chloe the bumblebee was hesitant, but willing to make eye contact with people. Both the girls were loving to hold their candy buckets, but wanted to put binkies and miscellaneous toys in by themselves instead of have someone putting candy in. Ryan and I were exhausted just walking the hilly neighborhood and a few houses. We loaded the girls up and drove to GG Sharich's house to Trick or Treat there. We visited for quite a while and the girls were shy over there also. Strange. We were going to hit Ryan's aunt's house also, but the girls fell asleep on the way there so we just headed home.
The next day, we hung out and had a 6pm family dinner planned. GG Sharich's spaghetti and meatballs, salad, and I helped make garlic bread. I really like Ryan's family. I like that so many people get together and just hang out. Coming from a divorced family, it's almost strange to have so many people LIKE eachother enough to plan meals, etc. I'm excited to go back for Christmas!
Our SLC trip was fun and it was hard to leave. It was over too quickly, but we've been home 3 days and still haven't finished unpacking and doing the laundry. Sheesh! Thank goodness I've got the next few days off so I can finish unpacking.
As for work, I have been training new dispatchers every working day for about 7 days in a row. That's alot of patience used up! Today, I am finally by myself. The current training group is 6 people. The last group of 9 is down to 7 still working here, which is astounding and unheard of! So we have alot of fresh meat around and they are still all asking questions - which is fine. I still ask questions every once in a while. I have to train this group of 6 for a few days in December on calltaking. It should be pretty fun. I really enjoy that part of my job.
I figured I should blog a little, since I haven't posted anything in a while.
I bet they could sense that they looked "silly" in their costumes. We had to bribe sydney to even wear one. Yup.. BRIBE!! I bet you can't wait can you?
ReplyDeleteThey look soo cute in their costumes!! I am so excited to see you guys next week and talk mom stuff. It has been so long since we have been there! How is your mom doing? I hope she is healing quickly and properly. Tell her we are thinking about her. Anyway, next weekend will be fun, hope you don't have to work a ton. Talk to you soon! Loves.
